Before I took part in the Expedition through the Arctic, I had lived by a schedule. In the Arctic you lose sense of time. Having 24 hours of sunlight we could start our hiking at what we thought was 3 PM but it was actually 3 AM.
Our entire being was focused on one thing: survival.
That day or night (I can’t say for sure) I was on polar bear watch while the others were sleeping.

…a polar bear. It was a big bear with strong paws.
The scientist was very frightened. He wanted to shoot, but his gun
wasn`t with him.
The polar bear got nearer.
The scientist`s heart compressed bigger every second. He
couldn`t move. He closed his eyes. Some cold sweat flowed down his face.
Suddenly he felt a warm breathing on his face. The scientist opened his
eyes and saw a big open mouth with giant teeth.
At this moment the scientist thought, that he would never see his family.
He prepared to die, when something pushed him.
The scientist woke up.
He had slept for some hours, when his friend noticed and woke him.
