IT IS TIME TO GO ON A TRIP!

Snowy is a little polar bear cub. He lives in the northern Arctic with his family. Mummy bear, Daddy bear and Snowy can see ice and snow everywhere every day. They like swimming from ice floe to ice floe and digging holes in snow banks.
One day Snowy says, "I'm tired of this ice and snow. I'm going to live where I can see something quite different."
"But your home is here! Look!
The snowflakes are dancing in the air! They are so beautiful! Listen to the snow! It's humming a very funny song, "scoosh-scoosh, scoosh-scoosh", his mother tells him.
"Nothing can stop me", answers Snowy. "I'm packing my things and ...

Big Snowy his father is looking at his boy and remembers his own
childhood. He realizes that one day all children do the same things.
Many years ago when he was at the age of little Snowy he also
decided that it was time to go on a trip. He was eager to see
something new and interesting. His mother was very upset, she
sighed, but nevertheless she helped her son to pack his things.
She kissed her little boy and said “Be careful, my dear, come back home soon and tell us about your adventures, I will wait for you!”
Snowy chose a small iceberg for his sailing. Next day early in the morning he left his home.
He was sailing only for an hour when he saw his friends a little albatross Alba and a little seal Fatty. They asked Snowy where he was going.
The little bear answered that he wanted to see something new and interesting and to make friends with other animals. So the friends went on sailing together.
Days passed.
They sailed through different seas and oceans. The little sailors met a lot of new amazing animals during their trip.
They made friends with a little whale Ferdinand and a little shark Sharky.
So they travelled all together. Once in the evening they as usual had supper and as they were very tired they fell asleep.
Meanwhile a big ship was passing by their iceberg.

The sailors noticed the little animals and thought that they had been lost. So the sailors decided to help them and took the friends to the zoo. When our travelers woke up they were very surprised.
They found themselves in a strange place and there were a lot of unknown amazing animals.
For the first time in their lives the friends saw people.
Snowy, Alba, Fatty, Ferdinand and Sharky were a little bit frightened because they had never seen people before. Soon they understood that people were very friendly.
Fatty and Snowy were playing with children all days long. Ferdinand and Sharky were happy because they were fed very well.
Alba didn’t make friends with anybody, but he liked watching people.
It seemed to him that they were very funny. One day a postman brought the friends a telegram from their parents. “We are waiting for our dear children!”-was written there. It was time to go home!

There was no place like home. People were very upset, they didn’t want to part with their new northern friends, but they knew that all children had to live with their parents.

Many years have passed since that time. Now Snowy, Ferdinand, Alba, Fatty and Sharky are not children.
They have already got their own babies and tell them stories about that exciting trip, about people.
Little Snowy knows that story very well, but now it is his time to go on his own trip.
