Before I took part in the Expedition through the Arctic, I had lived by a schedule. In the Arctic you lose sense of time. Having 24 hours of sunlight we could start our hiking at what we thought was 3 PM but it was actually 3 AM.
Our entire being was focused on one thing: survival.
That day or night (I can’t say for sure) I was on polar bear watch while the others were sleeping.

strange creature.
At first I thought it was a penguin.
It really looked like a penguin. It may sound silly, but I was shocked.
Perhaps I couldn’t say for sure If it was a day or night but it was the Arctic not the Antarctic. Penguins didn’t live in the North Pole.
The creature was standing and smiling. I was rooted to the spot. Then he invited me to follow him. After we had walked for two or three miles, we saw a spaceship, sparking in the sun. The huge spaceship was made of glass and metal. Suddenly I realized the creature was, an alien. I wanted to tell him about our expedition but he had disappeared.
I ran back to my friends and told them the news about the spaceship and the aliens.
They didn’t believe me and we nearly quarreled. “It’s true!, - I cried – “There are aliens outside!
Come and look…” My friends agreed: “We’ll come with you and see if there are any aliens”.
They went outside, walked around for a long time but there was nothing there…
“But… But… They were!..” – I shouted.
We came back to our tent and suddenly stopped…
There were two large black and white creatures sitting on our beds and eating our chocolate.
It made our hair stand on end…
“You see, they are real! They exist…”, - I said to my friends.
